Housing Justice Zine Launch Banner

Join us at the SHIFT Centre for Social Transformation for an evening of thoughtful discussions, including a panel and collective art-making, accompanied by dinner and light refreshments.

While gross housing injustices attack communities world wide, people continue to resist and fight for their rights globally. This original zine includes voices that speak to that struggle, including original interviews, poetry, short essays and also photography.

Whether you’re already part of the movement already or wanting to join, we invite you to celebrate the launch of this zine, edited by Stefan Christoff with design by Nesreen Galal.

The round table will be moderated by Stefan Christoff and will include the participation of the following folks:

  • Fenton “zLadybug” Benjamin
  • Hubert Gendron-Blais
  • Dru Oja Jay
  • Jason "Blackbird" Selman
  • Sepideh Shahamati
  • Alessandra Renzi

Please register to let us know you will join us.

The event will also include live silk-screening of a HOUSING JUSTICE NOW print, so please bring your t-shirt, or paper, or even tote bag to be printed on!

This event and zine project is supported by The Arts and Science Federation of Associations (ASFA) at Concordia, CKUT 90.3 FM, the Concordia Council on Student Life, The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), the project “On the Margins of the Platform Economy: Community-led Responses to Technical Gentrification,” The RAAH Lab, Solidarity Economy Incubation for Zero Emissions (SEIZE) and the Social Justice Centre.
