The National Tenant Organizing Fund Is In Development! Help Shape the Priorities
4 November 2025
A National Tenant Organizing Fund Is in Development (And you are among the first to hear about it!)
A coalition of tenant unions and SEIZE are working together to create the National Tenant Organizing Fund (NTOF). This effort is being led by a National Advisory Committee made up of tenant representatives from regions across the country: including the Tenants Association Northwest Territories, Vancouver Tenants Union, York South Weston Tenants Union, PEI Fight for Affordable Housing, and Tenant Rights QC.
The Advisory Committee is now collaborating to shape how the Fund will work and what kinds of tenant organizing it should support when it launches. Before anything is finalized or announced publicly, we are consulting with organizers across the country to make sure the NTOF responds to real needs on the ground.
Together, we are defining how this movement infrastructure can strengthen tenant leadership, advance regional equity, and support the movement strategies already working to keep people housed.
Help us shape what the NTOF resources by contributing to the funding priorities survey! This survey will directly influence the funding priorities, eligibility design, and organizing support when the NTOF launches in January 2026.Help shape what the NTOF will resource by completing the funding priorities survey. Your input will directly guide funding priorities, eligibility criteria, and the types of organizing tactics that the NTOF supports when it launches in January 2026.
A stronger national tenant movement is taking shape. Thank you for helping build the infrastructure that will support it.
